When I grow up, I want to be a physical education teacher, just like Mom and Dad...or maybe a cartographer...no wait a marine biologist...well, actually, a composer and concert pianist...why was I not born during the Renaissance?
I’ve always wanted to grow into some graceful combination of the following components:
1) She-ra / some version of the warrior princess.
2) An "inn-keeper" / one who runs a B&B by the sea.
3) A pirate / a vagabond / an explorer on a boat or in a submarine.
4) (A pre-Henry Higgins) Eliza Doolittle / Madonna circa True Blue / an actual mermaid.

When I grow up, I want to be a professional skier and photographer. I want to make movies like Warren Miller and Gregg Stump. I want to ski like Scot Schmidt and my Dad. Maybe someday I’ll look for a real job.

When I grew up I thought a lot about being a teacher teaching languages and geography, as both my parents and grandfather. Later on I wanted to be an engineer learning and speaking different languages by going to and working on projects at different geographic locations, to help make the world a better place.

I want to be a businessman when I grow up, mainly because my parents own a business and I've always been around their work. Beyond that anything "computer related" as we have always had a computer since they first came out and I am always playing around with it.

When I grow up, I want to study zoology and run my own record store.
Between the ages 6 and 11, my life was consumed by the acquisition and manipulation of Legos. If my mom didn’t make me clean my room periodically, the floor would have been covered wall to wall with a lego civilization, complete with public transportation, a space program, and a representative government. It hurt like hell to step on them in bare feet though.
