Glyph looked at the top 20 iPhone apps for 11 major markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia to determine how prevalent localization is for the top iTunes App Store performers in each market. Analysis was conducted on May 14, 2010.
- 80% of top apps in Japan and Korea are fully localized
- At least 70% of top apps in France, Italy and Germany are either fully localized or have localized app store descriptions
- Low rates of localization for Mexico, Brazil and Taiwan
